✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to perform i'tikaf, he would pray the dawn prayer, then enter the place where he wanted to perform i'tikaf. He wanted to perform i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan, so he ordered a tent to be pitched for him. Aishah ordered a tent to be pitched for her, and Hafsah ordered a tent to be pitched for her. When Zaynab saw their tents, she ordered a tent to be pitched for her. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw that, he said, "Do you intend righteousness?" He did not perform i'tikaf in Ramadan, and he performed i'tikaf for ten days in Shawwal.
