حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ كَرِيمَةَ بِنْتِ هَمَّامٍ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ
يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ، إِيَّاكُنَّ وَقَشْرَ الْوَجْهِ، فَسَأَلَتْهَا امْرَأَةٌ عَنِ الْخِضَابِ، فَقَالَتْ: لَا بَأْسَ بِالْخِضَابِ وَلَكِنِّي أَكْرَهُهُ لِأَنَّ حَبِيبِي ﷺ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ رِيحَهُ.

✧ O assembly of women, beware of getting facial skin removed (i.e., excessive scraping/peeling). A woman asked her about dyeing, and she said: “There is no harm in dyeing, but I dislike it because my beloved ﷺ disliked its smell.”
