حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا أَنَّهُ الْحَجُّ، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ الْهَدْيُ أَنْ يَمْضِيَ عَلَى إِحْرَامِهِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ أَنْ يُحِلَّ إِذَا طَافَ. فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ دُخِلَ عَلَيَّ بِلَحْمِ بَقَرٍ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا: ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نِسَائِهِ. قَالَ يَحْيَى: قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: عَنْ يَحْيَى فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلْقَاسِمِ فَقَالَ: جَاءَتْكَ بِالْحَدِيثِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ. قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ: لِخَمْسٍ بَقِيَنْ مِنْ ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا الْحَجَّ

✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ thinking only that it was the Hajj. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded those who had brought sacrificial animals to remain in their ihram, and those who had not brought sacrificial animals to exit ihram after performing tawaf. On the Day of Sacrifice, some beef was brought to me. I asked: 'What is this?' They said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives.' Yahya said: Shu'bah said, from Yahya: 'I mentioned that to al-Qasim, and he said: "She brought you the hadith in its proper form."' Ibn Numayr said: 'For five nights remaining of Dhu al-Qi'dah, we thought it was only the Hajj.'
