حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا يَقْرَأُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ جَالِسًا حَتَّى دَخَلَ فِي السِّنِّ وَكَانَ إِذَا بَقِيَتْ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثُونَ آيَةً أَوْ أَرْبَعُونَ قَامَ فَقَرَأَهَا ثُمَّ سَجَدَ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ would not recite anything of the night prayer while sitting until he became old. And when thirty or forty verses remained, he would stand and recite them, then prostrate.
