حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ

عَائِشَةُ لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى الْآيَاتِ آيَاتِ الرِّبَا مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَرَأَهُنَّ عَلَيْنَا ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ التِّجَارَةَ فِي الْخَمْرِ

Translation

✧ Aishah said: When God, blessed and exalted, sent down the verses—the verses on usury—from the end of Surat al-Baqarah, the Messenger of God ﷺ stood and recited them to us, then he prohibited trade in wine.
