حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَابِسِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ

هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ, حَرَّمَ لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ [حَتَّى] بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ ؟ قَالَتْ: لَا، وَلَكِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ يُضَحِّي مِنْهُنَّ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ لِيُطْعِمَ مَنْ ضَحَّى مَنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ, وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا نَخْبَأُ الْكُرَاعَ مِنْ أَضَاحِينَا، ثُمَّ نَأْكُلُهَا بَعْدَ عَشْرٍ

Translation

✧ Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibit the meat of sacrificial animals [even] after three days? She said: No, but only a few people used to sacrifice from them, so he did that to feed those who had not sacrificed from those who had. I have seen us storing the trotters from our sacrifices and then eating them after ten days.
