✧ He would sleep at the beginning of the night and stay awake at its end. Sometimes he would have a need for his wife, then sleep before touching water. When the first call to prayer came, he would leap up—and she did not say 'get up'—and pour water over himself—and she did not say 'perform ghusl,' and I know better what she meant—and if he was not in a state of janabah, he would perform wudu like a man's wudu for prayer.
