حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَصَالِحِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا أَمَرَتْ بِجِنَازَةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ

أَنَّهَا أَمَرَتْ بِجِنَازَةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَنْ يُمَرَّ بِهَا عَلَيْهَا، فَمُرَّ بِهَا عَلَيْهَا, فَبَلَغَهَا أَنْ قَدْ قِيلَ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَتْ: مَا أَسْرَعَ النَّاسَ إِلَى الْقَوْلِ، وَاللهِ مَا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى سُهَيْلِ ابْنِ بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ

✧ She commanded that the funeral of Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas be brought past her, and it was brought past her. It reached her that something had been said about that. She said: 'How quick people are to speak! By God, the Messenger of God ﷺ did not pray over Suhayl b. Bayda' except in the mosque.'
