حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيْمَنُ بْنُ نَابِلٍ عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ فُلَانًا وَجِعٌ لَا يَطْعَمُ الطَّعَامَ، قَالَ: عَلَيْكُمْ بِالتَّلْبِينَةِ فَحَسُّوهُ إِيَّاهَا، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَتَغْسِلُ بَطْنَ أَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يَغْسِلُ أَحَدُكُمْ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ مِنَ الْوَسَخِ
Translation

✧ When it was said to the Messenger of God ﷺ that So-and-so was ill and could not eat food, he said: 'You should use talbinah, and feed him sips of it. By the One in whose hand is my soul, it cleanses the belly of one of you just as one of you washes his face with water to remove dirt.'
