حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ أَدْخُلُ كُلِّي أَوْ بَعْضِي؟ قَالَ ادْخُلْ كُلُّكَ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءًا مَكِيثًا فَقَالَ لِي يَا عَوْفُ بْنَ مَالِكٍ سِتًّا قَبْلَ السَّاعَةِ مَوْتُ نَبِيِّكُمْ خُذْ إِحْدَى ثُمَّ فَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ثُمَّ مَوْتٌ يَأْخُذُكُمْ تُقْعَصُونَ فِيهِ كَمَا تُقْعَصُ الْغَنَمُ ثُمَّ تَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْمَالُ حَتَّى يُعْطَى الرَّجُلُ الْوَاحِدُ مِائَةَ دِينَارٍ فَيَسْخَطَهَا ثُمَّ يَأْتِيكُمْ بَنُو الْأَصْفَرِ تَحْتَ ثَمَانِينَ غَايَةً تَحْتَ كُلِّ غَايَةٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا

✧ I asked permission to enter upon the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Should I enter with all of me or part of me?' He said, 'Enter with all of you.' So I entered upon him while he was performing ablution in a deliberate manner. He said to me, 'O 'Awf b. Malik, there are six things before the Hour: the death of your Prophet ﷺ — take one; then the conquest of Jerusalem; then a death that will seize you, in which you will be struck down like sheep are struck down; then trials will appear and wealth will become abundant until a single man is given a hundred dinars and he is displeased with it; then the Banu al-Asfar will come to you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand.'
