✧ "And I narrated to him from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until we came to the mention of Friday. So, I told him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Verily, there is an hour on Friday, no Muslim asks Allah for any good during it except that He gives it to him.' Ka'ab said: 'May Allah and His Messenger testify to the truth, it is once every year.' I said: 'No.' Ka'ab looked at me at that moment and said: 'May Allah and His Messenger testify to the truth, it is once every month.' I said: 'No.' Then, he looked at me a moment and said: 'May Allah and His Messenger testify to the truth, it is once every Friday.' I said: 'Yes.' Ka'ab said: 'Do you know which hour it is?' I said: 'Which hour is it?' He said: 'It is the time when Allah created Adam and when the Hour will be established. The creations are terrified during it, except for the Jinn and humans, out of fear of the Resurrection.' Then, I hastened to reach Madinah and informed Abdullah bin Salam about Ka'ab's statement. He said: 'Ka'ab has lied.' I said: 'Verily, he returned to my statement.' Abdullah bin Salam said: 'Do you know which hour it is?' I said: 'No.' I kept asking him, 'Inform me, inform me.' He said: 'It is between `Asr and Maghrib.' I said: 'How so, when there is no prayer during that time?' He said: 'Did you not hear the Prophet ﷺ say: 'The servant is in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer in his place of prayer?''

machine translationMuḥammad b. Isḥāq b. Khuzaymah held that this disagreement concerns his statement, "On it Ādam was created," to the end. As for the statement, "The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday," it is from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, without any doubt.
