✧ When he stood for prayer, he stood upright and raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders. When he wanted to bow, he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders, then said: 'Allahu Akbar' and bowed. Then he straightened up, neither hanging his head down nor raising it, and placed his hands on his knees. Then he said: 'Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah [Allah hears the one who praises Him].' Then he raised and straightened up until every bone returned to its place, upright. Then he went down into prostration and said: 'Allahu Akbar.' Then he kept his arms apart from his body and spread his upper arms away from his belly, and spread the toes of his feet. Then he folded his left leg and sat on it, and straightened up until every bone returned to its place. Then he went down into prostration and said: 'Allahu Akbar.' Then he folded his leg and sat on it until every limb returned to its place. Then he got up and did the same in the second rak'ah, until when he stood up from the two prostrations, he said the takbir and raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders, as he did when he began the prayer. Then he did likewise, until when it was the rak'ah in which the prayer ends, he drew back his left leg and sat on his side, mutawarrikan [in the tawarruk position], then he said the salam.
