Musnad Ahmad 23329

Translation

✧ My mother asked me, "How long has it been since you were with the Prophet ﷺ?" I said to her, "Since such and such a time." She reproached me and reviled me. I said to her, "Let me go to the Prophet ﷺ, pray the sunset prayer with him, then not leave him until he asks forgiveness for me and for you." So I came to the Prophet ﷺ and prayed the sunset prayer with him. The Prophet ﷺ then prayed until the night prayer, then he left, and I followed him. Someone approached him and conversed with him privately, then went away. I followed him, and he heard my voice and said, "Who is this?" I said, "Hudhayfah." He said, "What is the matter?" I told him the matter. He said, "May God forgive you and your mother." Then he said, "Did you see the one who approached me a short while ago?" I said, "Yes." He said, "He is an angel who had never descended to earth before this night. He asked his Lord's permission to greet me and bring me glad tidings that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the chiefs of the youth of Paradise, and that Fatimah is the chief of the women of Paradise."
