✧ Indeed, in my ummah there are four things from the affair of the Jahiliyyah that they will not abandon: boasting about lineages, seeking rain by the stars, and wailing over the dead. The wailing woman, if she does not repent before she dies, will stand on the Day of Resurrection wearing garments of tar, then a coat of fire's flame will be placed over her.

machine translationYaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Abān al-ʿAṭṭār and ʿAlī b. al-Mubārak narrated it from Yaḥyā, from Zayd b. Sallām, from Abū Sallām, from Abū Mālik. Maʿmar differed from them and narrated it from Yaḥyā, from Ibn Muʿāniq or Abū Muʿāniq, from Abū Mālik al-Ashʿarī. The hadith of Abū Sallām is closer to the correct one.
