حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزٌ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ حَوَالَةَ الْأَزْدِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺعَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
سَيَكُونُ أَجْنَادٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ: شَامٌ وَيَمَنٌ وَعِرَاقٌ، وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَيِّهَا بَدَأَ، وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ، أَلَا وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ، أَلَا وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ، فَمَنْ كَرِهَ فَعَلَيْهِ بِيَمَنِهِ وَلْيَسْقِ مِنْ غُدُرِهِ؛ فَإِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ تَوَكَّلَ لِي بِالشَّامِ وَأَهْلِهِ

✧ There will be mustered armies: the Levant, Yemen, and Iraq, and Allah knows best with which of them He began. You must keep to the Levant—indeed, you must keep to the Levant—indeed, you must keep to the Levant. Whoever dislikes it, let him keep to his Yemen and drink from its ponds, for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has guaranteed the Levant and its people for me.
