حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ

اسْتَبَّ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَغَضِبَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا ذَهَبَ غَضَبُهُ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Translation

✧ Two men reviled each other in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, and one of them became angry, so the Prophet ﷺ said: "I know a word which, if he said it, his anger would depart: 'I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan the accursed.'"
