✧ There was a man from the Anṣār whose house was the farthest house in Madinah. He would hardly ever miss prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ. I felt sorry for him and said: 'O so-and-so, if only you would buy a donkey to protect you from the heat of the ground and from the creatures of the earth.' He said: 'By God, I would not love that my house be next to the house of Muhammad ﷺ.' He said: So I carried the news until I brought it to the Prophet of God ﷺ and informed him. He called him, and he said the like of that, and mentioned that he hoped for reward in his footsteps. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Indeed, you shall have what you hoped for.'
