✧ Ziyad appointed al-Hakam al-Ghifari over an army. 'Imran b. Husayn came to him and met him among the people, and said: "Do you know why I came to you?" He said to him: "Why?" He said: "Do you remember the statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to the man whose commander said to him: 'Throw yourself into the fire,' and he was caught and held back, and the Prophet ﷺ was informed of that, and he said: 'If he had thrown himself into it, they would both have entered the Fire. There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah [Blessed and Exalted]'?" He said: "Yes." He said: "I only wanted to remind you of this hadith."
