وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكَرَةَ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ
أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ أَسْلَمُ وَغِفَارُ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَسَدٍ وَغَطَفَانَ، أَتَرَوْنَهُمْ خَسِرُوا ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَإِنَّهُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَتْ جُهَيْنَةُ وَمُزَيْنَةُ خَيْرًا مِنَ الْحَلِيفَيْنِ: مِنْ تَمِيمٍ وَعَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ يَمُدُّ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَوْتَهُ أَتَرَوْنَهُمْ خَسِرُوا ؟ ! قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَإِنَّهُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُمْ
Translation

✧ Do you think that if Aslam and Ghifār are better than Asad and Ghaṭafān, would you consider them losers? They said: Yes. He said: Indeed they are better than them. Then he said: Do you think that if Juhaynah and Muzaynah are better than the two allies—from Tamīm and ʿĀmir b. Ṣaʿṣaʿah—raising his voice with it, the Messenger of God ﷺ—would you consider them losers? They said: Yes. He said: Indeed they are better than them.
