حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ ؟ قَالَ: مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَحَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ، قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ النَّاسِ شَرٌّ ؟ قَالَ: مَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَسَاءَ عَمَلُهُ.
