machine translationYazīd b. Ibrāhīm al-Tustarī narrates it from Muḥammad b. Sīrīn from Abū Hurayrah, and ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī said the same from Yazīd. But it is not authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) from Abū Hurayrah. Rather, Muḥammad b. Sīrīn narrated it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Bakrah from his father. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Thaqafī said this, as did Muʿtamir from Ayyūb and others, narrating it from Ibn Sīrīn from Abū Bakrah. The ḥadīth of Abū Bakrah is the preserved one (maḥfūẓ).
