Translation

✧ He passed by his father while he was supplicating, saying: O God, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty and the punishment of the grave. He said: I learned these words from him and I used to supplicate with them after every prayer. He said: Then he passed by me while I was supplicating with them, and he said: O my son, how did you learn these words? He said: O my father, I heard you supplicating with them after every prayer, so I learned them from you. He said: Then keep to them, O my son, for the Messenger of God ﷺ used to supplicate with them after every prayer.
