✧ I was sitting with Abū Mūsā and ʿAbd Allāh, and Abū Mūsā said: 'Have you not heard the saying of ʿAmmār: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me on an errand, and I became junub and could not find water, so I rolled in the dirt as an animal rolls. Then I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: 'It would have been enough for you to do this'—and he struck his hand on the ground, then he wiped each of them with the other, then he wiped his face with them; al-Aʿmash did not go beyond the two palms.'
