✧ A Bedouin came, made his mount kneel, then hobbled it, then prayed behind the Messenger of God ﷺ. When the Messenger of God ﷺ had prayed, he came to his mount, released its hobble, then mounted it, then called out: O God, have mercy on me and Muḥammad, and do not associate anyone in our mercy. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Do you say this one is more astray, or his camel? Did you not hear what he said? They said: Yes. He said: You have restricted. God's mercy is vast. God created one hundred mercies, and God sent down one mercy by which creatures show compassion to one another—their jinn, their humans, and their beasts. And with Him are ninety-nine. Do you say: is he more astray, or his camel?
