حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ يَعْنِي الْقَطَّانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَصَابَتْهُ جِرَاحَةٌ، فَحُمِلَ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ، فَأَلِمَتْ جِرَاحَتُهُ، فَاسْتَخْرَجَ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ فَطَعَنَ بِهِ فِي لَبَّتِهِ، فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: سَابَقَنِي بِنَفْسِهِ
Translation

✧ That a man was wounded, and he was carried to his house. His wound pained him, so he took out an arrow from his quiver and stabbed himself with it in his chest. They mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, relating from his Lord, Mighty and Majestic: He hastened to Me with his own self.
