machine translationIt is narrated by Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī and Khālid al-Ḥadhdhā', and there is disagreement concerning it. As for Ayyūb: ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAmr narrated it from Ayyūb, from Abū Qilābah, from Anas, from the Prophet ﷺ. Sallām Abū al-Mundhir differed with him and narrated it from Ayyūb, from Abū Qilābah, from Abū Hurayrah. Al-Rabīʿ b. Badr differed with both of them and narrated it from Ayyūb, from al-Aʿraj, from Abū Hurayrah. Ibn ʿUlayyah, Ibn ʿUyaynah and Ḥammād b. Zayd differed with them all and narrated it from Ayyūb, from Abū Qilābah, as a mursal report from the Prophet ﷺ, and this is the sound version of Ayyūb's narration. As for Khālid al-Ḥadhdhā': Sufyān al-Thawrī, Yazīd b. Zurayʿ and Bishr b. al-Mufaḍḍal narrated it from Khālid, from Abū Qilābah, from Muḥammad b. Abī ʿĀʾishah, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. Ibn ʿUlayyah, Khālid b. ʿAbdillāh, Shuʿbah and ʿAlī b. ʿĀṣim narrated it from Khālid al-Ḥadhdhā', from Abū Qilābah, from Muḥammad b. Abī ʿĀʾishah, as a mursal report from the Prophet ﷺ. Hushaym narrated it from Khālid, from Abū Qilābah, as a mursal report, not going beyond Abū Qilābah with it. The mursal version is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
