حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي وَجَعِهِ، فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ الضَّالَّةَ تَرِدُ عَلَى حَوْضِ إِبِلِي، هَلْ لِي أَجْرٌ أَنْ أَسْقِيَهَا؟ فَقَالَ: « نَعَمْ، فِي الْكَبِدِ الْحَرَّى أَجْرٌ

Translation

✧ He came to the Messenger of God ﷺ during his illness and said: What do you think of a stray camel that comes to the watering place of my camels—is there any reward for me if I give it water? He said: "Yes, in the thirsty liver there is reward."
