✧ Al-Abbas entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ angry, and he said to him: "What angers you?" He said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with us and Quraysh? When they meet among themselves, they meet with cheerful faces, but when they meet us, they meet us with other than that! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry until his face reddened and a vein between his eyes throbbed; when he became angry it would throb. When he calmed down, he said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul—or he said: By the One in Whose hand is Muhammad's soul—faith does not enter a man's heart until he loves you for the sake of Allah [Mighty and Majestic] and for His Messenger." Then he said: "O people, whoever harms al-Abbas has harmed me. A man's paternal uncle is the equal of his father."
