✧ It is said that Abu Al-Ghadiyah asked for water to be brought to him in a dirty container, but he refused to drink from it. The Prophet ﷺ mentioned this hadith: "Do not go back after me as disbelievers or misguided ones." Ibn Abi Adiy's son, who was doubtful, said, "Some of you are hitting each other's necks." So when a man insulted another, I said, "By Allah, if Allah enables me to defeat you in battle, then I will." On the day of Siffin, I found him with armor on him. So I realized that the opportunity was present in the pockets of the armor, so I pierced him and killed him. It was Ammar ibn Yasir. I said, "Which hands would refuse to drink from a dirty container and yet kill Ammar ibn Yasir?"
