حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ ابْنُ كُلْثُومٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِي غَادِيَةَ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ
خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْعَقَبَةِ فَقَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ إِلَى أَنْ تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، أَلَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ. [قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَد، أَلَا لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ أَلَا هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ].

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ addressed us on the Day of 'Aqabah and said: 'O people, your blood and your wealth are forbidden to you until you meet your Lord, as sacred as this day of yours, in this land of yours, in this month of yours. Have I conveyed?' They said: 'Yes.' [He said: 'O God, bear witness. Indeed, do not return after me to disbelief, striking the necks of one another. Have I conveyed?']
