✧ I found a red jar containing dinars during the governorship of Mu'awiya in the land of the Romans. He said: Over us was a man from the companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ from the Banu Sulaym named Ma'n b. Yazid. He said: I brought it to him to distribute among the Muslims, and he gave me the like of what he gave one of them. Then he said: Were it not that I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ and saw him do it - I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'No extra share except after the fifth' - then I would have given you. He said: Then he took and offered me from his own share, but I refused, saying: I am not more entitled to it than you.
