✧ Aqeel bin Abi Talib

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ

تَزَوَّجَ عَقِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا، فَقُلْنَا: بِالرِّفَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ ! فَقَالَ: مَهْ، لَا تَقُولُوا ذَلِكَ؛ فَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَدْ نَهَانَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ، وَقَالَ: قُولُوا: بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ، وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ، وَبَارَكَ لَكَ فِيهَا.

✧ Aqil b. Abi Talib married and came out to us. We said, "With harmony and sons!" He said, "Enough, do not say that, for the Prophet ﷺ forbade us from it, and said: 'Say: May God bless you, and bless upon you, and bless you in her.'"
