✧ A Jew had a debt of four dirhams owed to him by him, so he sought help against him. He said: "O Muhammad, I have four dirhams owed to me by this man, and he has withheld them from me." He said: "Give him his right." He said: "By the One who sent you with the truth, I cannot afford it." He said: "Give him his right." He said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I cannot afford it. I have told him that you are sending us to Khaybar, and I hope that you will give us some spoils so that I can return and pay him." He said: "Give him his right." He said: When the Prophet ﷺ said something three times, he was not argued with. So Ibn Abi Hadrad took him out to the market while he had a turban on his head and was wearing a striped cloak as a waist wrapper. He removed the turban from his head and wrapped it around his waist, and he took off the cloak. Then he said: "Buy this cloak from me." So he sold it to him for the four dirhams. Then an old woman passed by and said: "What is wrong with you, O companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He told her, and she said: "Here, take this." She had a cloak with her, and she threw it over him.
