حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ وَأُرِيقَ دَمُهُ ؟ فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: نَعَمْ.

Translation

✧ I asked Jabir: Did the Prophet ﷺ say: The best jihad is one whose horse is hamstrung and whose blood is shed? Jabir said: Yes.
