حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ صَدَقَةٌ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِالسُّفْلَى
Translation

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: The best charity is charity given out of self-sufficiency, and begin with those you support, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand.
