✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ marched to Khaybar, and we reached it at night. When morning came, he mounted, and the Muslims mounted, and I mounted behind Abū Ṭalḥah, with my foot touching the foot of the Messenger of God ﷺ. The people of Khaybar came out with their baskets and spades to their fields and lands. When they saw the Prophet ﷺ and the Muslims, they turned back fleeing and said: 'Muḥammad and the army!' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'God is greatest! Khaybar is ruined. When we descend upon the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned.'
