✧ Some people from 'Uraynah embraced Islam, but they found the climate of Madinah unsuitable. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, "Would you not go out to some camels of ours and drink their milk?" Humayd said: And Qatadah said, on the authority of Anas: "and their urine." They did so, and when they recovered, they apostatized after their Islam, killed the herdsman of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a believer – or: a Muslim – and drove off the camels of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, fleeing as raiders. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent after them, and they were captured. He cut off their hands and feet, branded their eyes, and left them in the harrah until they died.
