حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
قَالَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا رَأَيْنَا مِثْلَ قَوْمٍ قَدِمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَحْسَنَ بَذْلًا مِنْ كَثِيرٍ، وَلَا أَحْسَنَ مُوَاسَاةً فِي قَلِيلٍ، قَدْ كَفَوْنَا الْمُؤْنَةَ وَأَشْرَكُونَا فِي الْمَهْنَأِ، فَقَدْ خَشِينَا أَنْ يَذْهَبُوا بِالْأَجْرِ كُلِّهِ. قَالَ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: كَلَّا، مَا أَثْنَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِهِ وَدَعَوْتُمُ اللهَ [عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] لَهُمْ
Translation

✧ The Muhajirun said: O Messenger of Allah, we have not seen the like of a people whom we came to in generosity of plenty, nor better in sharing in little; they have spared us the burden and shared with us the ease, so we fear that they will take all the reward. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: No, as long as you commend them for it and supplicate to Allah [Mighty and Majestic] for them.
