حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَأَى حَبْلًا مَمْدُودًا بَيْنَ سَارِيَتَيْنِ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ: فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا: فُلَانَةُ تُصَلِّي، فَإِذَا غُلِبَتْ تَعَلَّقَتْ بِهِ. فَقَالَ: لِتُصَلِّ مَا عَقَلَتْ، فَإِذَا غُلِبَتْ فَلْتَنَمْ
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque and saw a rope stretched between two pillars — Ibn Abi 'Adi said: in the mosque — so he asked about it, and they said: So-and-so prays, and when she is overcome she clings to it. He said: Let her pray as long as she is alert, and when she is overcome let her sleep.
