✧ Safiyya became Dihya's share in the division of spoils, and they began to praise her in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: They said: “We have not seen anyone like her among the captives.” He said: He sent to Dihya and gave him what he wanted for her, then he handed her to my mother and said: “Prepare her.” He said: Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Khaybar until when he placed her behind him, he dismounted and set up a tent over her. When morning came, he ﷺ said: “Whoever has extra provisions, let him bring them to us.” He said: A man would come with extra dates, extra barley meal, and extra ghee until they made a heap of it into hays (a mixed dish). They ate from that hays and drank from pools beside them filled with rainwater. He said: Anas said: That was the wedding feast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for her. We set off until when we saw the walls of Madinah, we longed for it and urged our mounts, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ urged his mount. He said: Safiyya was behind him, riding behind him. He said: The mount of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stumbled, and he and she fell. He said: None of the people looked at him or her until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and covered her. He said: We came to him, and he said: “We are not harmed.” He said: He entered Madinah, and the servant girls of his wives came out to look at her and gloat over her fall.
