✧ When 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf came to Madinah, the Prophet ﷺ established brotherhood between him and Sa'd b. al-Rabi'. Sa'd said: "I will divide my wealth with you into two halves, and I have two wives, so I will divorce one of them, and when her waiting period is over, marry her." He said: "May Allah bless you in your family and wealth. Show me the market." So they showed him, and he went, and he did not return except with some aqit and ghee that he had earned. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ later saw him with a trace of yellow on him and said: "Mahyam?" He said: "I married a woman from the Ansar." He said: "What did you give her as a dowry?" He said: "A gold stone." Humayd said: "Or the weight of a gold stone." He said: "Hold a wedding feast, even if with one sheep."
