✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to Abu Talhah: 'Find for us a servant from your servants to serve me.' Abu Talhah took me out, riding behind him, and I used to serve the Prophet ﷺ whenever he stopped. I used to hear him frequently say: 'O God, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, incapacity and laziness, cowardice and miserliness, the burden of debt and the domination of men.' I continued to serve him until we returned from Khaybar, and he returned with Safiyyah bt. Huyayy, having taken her as his share. I saw him making a cushion behind him with a cloak or a blanket, then seating her behind him, until when we were at al-Sahba', he prepared hais on a leather mat, then sent me and I invited men, and they ate. That was his wedding feast with her. Then he went on until Uhud appeared to him. He said: 'This is a mountain that loves us and we love it.' When he overlooked Madinah, he said: 'O God, I declare inviolable what lies between its two lava tracts, just as Ibrahim declared Makkah inviolable. O God, bless them in their mudd and their sa'.'
