✧ When the believers are delivered from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection and are safe, none of you will be more intense in disputing with his companion over a right that belongs to him in this world than the believers will be with their Lord concerning their brothers who were admitted to the Fire. He said: They will say, “Our Lord, our brothers used to pray with us, fast with us, and perform Hajj with us, yet You admitted them to the Fire.” He said: He will say, “Go and bring out those whom you recognize.” They will come to them and recognize them by their faces, for the Fire will not consume their faces. Some of them will have been seized by the Fire up to the middle of their shins, and some up to their ankles. They will bring them out and say, “Our Lord, we have brought out those whom You commanded us.” Then He will say, “Bring out anyone who has a dinar’s weight of faith in his heart,” then anyone who has half a dinar’s weight, until He says, “Anyone who has an atom’s weight.” Abu Said said: Whoever does not believe this, let him recite this verse: “Indeed, God does not wrong [anyone] by an atom’s weight, and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward” [4:40]. He said: They will say, “Our Lord, we have brought out those whom You commanded us, and no one with any good remains in the Fire.” He said: Then God will say, “The angels have interceded, the prophets have interceded, and the believers have interceded, and there remains the Most Merciful of the merciful.” He said: He will grasp a handful from the Fire — or he said two handfuls — of people who never did any good for God at all, who have been burned until they have become charcoal. He said: They will be brought to water called the Water of Life, and it will be poured over them. They will sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt carried by a flood. They will come out of their bodies like pearls, and on their necks will be the seal: “God’s freed ones.” He said: It will be said to them, “Enter the Garden, and whatever you have wished for or seen, it is yours, and with Me is something better than this.” They will say, “Our Lord, and what is better than that?” He said: He will say, “My pleasure upon you, and I will never be angry with you again.”
