✧ A wolf attacked a sheep and seized it. The shepherd pursued it and snatched it back. The wolf sat on its tail and said: 'Do you not fear Allah? You take from me sustenance that Allah has brought to me.' He said: 'How amazing! A wolf sitting on its tail speaking to me in human speech.' The wolf said: 'Shall I tell you something even more amazing? Muhammad ﷺ is in Yathrib, telling people the news of what has already happened.' The shepherd came driving his flock until he entered Madinah, herded it into one of its corners, then came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that prayer be called: 'Gather for prayer.' Then he came out and said to the bedouin: 'Tell them.' So he told them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He spoke the truth. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the Hour will not come until wild beasts speak to humans, and a man's whip-end and his sandal strap speak to him, and his thigh informs him of what his family did after him.'
