حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ: أَمَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ غَيْرُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: لَا وَاللهِ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ غَيْرُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ، وَالْبُرُّ بِالْبُرِّ، وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ، وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ، وَالْمِلْحُ بِالْمِلْحِ، سَوَاءً بِسَوَاءٍ، مَنْ زَادَ أَوِ ازْدَادَ فَقَدْ أَرْبَى، الْآخِذُ وَالْمُعْطِي فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ
Translation

✧ A man from the people said to him: “Is there anyone between you and the Prophet ﷺ other than Abu Saʿid?” He said: “No, by God, there is no one between me and the Prophet ﷺ other than Abu Saʿid.” He said: “Gold for gold, silver for silver, wheat for wheat, barley for barley, dates for dates, and salt for salt, like for like. Whoever adds or asks for an increase has engaged in usury; the taker and the giver are equal in that.”
