حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

رَأَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا، فَقَالَ: تَقَدَّمُوا فَأْتَمُّوا بِي، وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بِكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ. لَا يَزَالُ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw some delay among his Companions and said: 'Come forward and follow me, and let those after you follow you. A people will keep delaying until God, Mighty and Majestic, delays them on the Day of Resurrection.'
