✧ People will be brought across the bridge of Hell, on which there are thorns, hooks, and grapples that snatch people. He said: People will pass like lightning, others like the wind, others like a racing horse, others running, others walking, others crawling on their hands and knees, and others dragging themselves. As for the people of the Fire, they will neither die nor live. Some people will be seized for their sins and burned, becoming charcoal. Then Allah will permit intercession, and they will be found in groups, thrown onto a river, and they will grow as a seed grows in the silt carried by a flood. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Have you seen the ṣabghā'?' He said: 'And over the Fire there are three trees. A man will be brought out from the Fire and will be on its edge. He will say: O Lord, turn my face away from it. He will say: By Your covenant and protection, You will not ask me for anything else. Then he will see a tree and say: O Lord, bring me near this tree so I may shade myself in its shade and eat from its fruit. He will say: By Your covenant and protection, You will not ask me for anything else. Then he will see another tree better than it and say: O Lord, move me to this tree so I may shade myself in its shade and eat from its fruit. He will say: By Your covenant and protection, You will not ask me for anything else. Then he will see a third tree and say: O Lord, move me to this tree so I may shade myself in its shade and eat from its fruit. He will say: By Your covenant and protection, You will not ask me for anything else. Then he will see the blackness of the people and hear their voices, and he will say: Lord, admit me to Paradise.' He said: Abu Sa'id and another man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ differed. One of them said: 'He will be admitted to Paradise and given the world and the like of it with it.' The other said: 'He will be admitted to Paradise and given the world and ten times the like of it.'
