✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prohibited the meat of sacrificial animals beyond three days. He said: Then Qatadah b. al-Nu'man, the brother of Abu Sa'id through his mother, arrived, and they offered him some of the dried meat of the sacrifice. He said: "This seems to be from the dried meat of the sacrifice?" They said: "Yes." He said: "Did the Messenger of God ﷺ not prohibit it?" He said: Abu Sa'id said to him: "Something new has occurred regarding it. The Messenger of God ﷺ had prohibited us from keeping it beyond three days, then he permitted us to eat it and store it."
