حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

لَا يَمْنَعَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ هَيْبَةُ النَّاسِ أَنْ يَقُولَ فِي حَقٍّ إِذَا رَآهُ، أَوْ شَهِدَهُ، أَوْ سَمِعَهُ قَالَ: وَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Ibn Abū ʿAdī
  2. Sulaymān
  3. Abū Naḍrah
  4. Abū Saʿīd
  5. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Let not the awe of people prevent any of you from speaking the truth when he sees it, witnesses it, or hears it. He said: Abu Said said: I wish I had not heard it.
