حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ذَكَرَ قَوْمًا يَكُونُونَ فِي أُمَّتِهِ يَخْرُجُونَ فِي فُرْقَةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ سِيمَاهُمُ التَّحْلِيقُ، هُمْ شَرُّ الْخَلْقِ، أَوْ مِنْ شَرِّ الْخَلْقِ، يَقْتُلُهُمْ أَدْنَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ، قَالَ: فَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَهُمْ مَثَلًا - أَوْ قَالَ قَوْلًا - الرَّجُلُ يَرْمِي الرَّمِيَّةَ، أَوْ قَالَ: الْغَرَضَ فَيَنْظُرُ فِي النَّصْلِ فَلَا يَرَى بَصِيرَةً، وَيَنْظُرُ فِي النَّضِيِّ فَلَا يَرَى بَصِيرَةً، وَيَنْظُرُ فِي الْفُوقِ فَلَا يَرَى بَصِيرَةً. قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: وَأَنْتُمْ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ يَا أَهْلَ الْعِرَاقِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ mentioned a people who will be in his nation, emerging in a faction of the people, their mark being the shaving of heads. They are the worst of creation, or among the worst of creation. The closer of the two parties to the truth will kill them. He said: The Prophet ﷺ gave them a parable—or said a saying—: a man shoots an arrow at a target, then looks at the arrowhead and sees no trace of blood, looks at the shaft and sees no trace of blood, and looks at the notch and sees no trace of blood. He said: Abu Said said: You killed them, O people of Iraq.
